The State of Hobson Bay

Solving this problem is complex and costly. I thought the time was right for an update on progress from the range of entities involved.Two years ago, I hosted a meeting of local representatives including Council and Watercare on the degeneration of Hobson Bay which contains some of the most polluted waters in the Waitemata Harbour. The catchments draining to Hobson Bay experience frequent wet and dry weather overflows from the wastewater network. Solving this problem is complex and costly. I thought the time was right for an update on progress from the range of entities involved. The community needs to know what is going on.
