David

to the Associate Minister for the Environment (06 Sep 2018): What proportion of single-use plastic shopping bags used by New Zealanders end up in waterways?
Hon
Eugenie
Sage
(Associate Minister for the Environment) replied: Robust data is not available on the proportion of single-use plastic shopping bags used by New Zealanders, which end up in waterways.
Sustainable Coastlines has received funding from the Waste Minimisation Fund to complete research that will provide additional data on litter rates on New Zealand coastlines, including for single-use plastic shopping bags.
