The Ministry of Education recently announced its proposal to remove the priority status of children of former students and lower or remove the priority of siblings of former students living out of a school zone. This has prompted Tim O'Connor to email parents and supporters last month to could engage in the consultation process which closes on June 16.

The purpose of this communication is to invite you to attend a public meeting at Auckland Grammar School.  The details are as follows:

When:  Monday June 14

Time:   7.30pm

Where: Centennial Theatre, Auckland Grammar School

At this meeting Tim O'Connor will provide an overview of the Ministry’s proposal and David Seymour, our local MP has also agreed to address the meeting.

There will be an opportunity for questions to be asked.  We hope this provides you with a further opportunity to be fully informed about the Ministry’s proposal to remove the priority status of children of former students and lower or remove the priority of siblings of former students living out of a school zone.

  • The full consultation document is here;

  • You can complete the online survey here.

We encourage you to have your say, and to support the opportunity for family legacies to continue.
