ACT Leader David Seymour has today released an open letter addressed to the chief executives of all public service departments outlining ACT’s commitments to New Zealanders for real change the in public service from 15 October.

“Chris Hipkins’ claim on Newstalk ZB that the reduction in prison numbers is primarily due to fewer people in prison on driving and cannabis charges, is completely wrong and was disproven when his Police Minister said it months ago,” says ACT Leader David Seymour.

“There is no justification for the public healthcare system to assign care based on ethnicity. It is lazy, divisive and doesn’t address the core problems at the heart of the health system. ACT will stop dividing healthcare by race,” says ACT Leader David Seymour.

“ACT New Zealand utterly condemns the appalling attacks by Hamas terrorists against Israel,” said ACT leader David Seymour. “We stand with our friends and allies the United States, Australia and Britain in condemning the attacks, which include indiscriminate rocket fire on Israeli cities and the killing of innocent civilians.

“More evidence has emerged that ACT will be needed as a strong voice in the next government to get rid of co-government”, says ACT Leader David Seymour.

“We can’t let tragedies like the New Windsor stabbing keep happening. ACT will make sure there are fewer offenders on home detention where they can slip off their ankle bracelet and create more victims,” says ACT Leader David Seymour.

“The New Windsor stabbing by a man on home detention is yet another example of how New Zealand’s justice system is too soft on criminals and weak for victims,” says ACT Leader David Seymour.
