Join me on the occasion of our first community meeting of the year on Friday 1 March. Over the last few years I have hosted a number of meetings on the vexed issue of local water quality and pollution.

Therefore I am delighted that we have the Chief Executive from Watercare Dave Chambers attending along with Priyan Perera, their Head of Strategy & Planning to give their take on the state of water infrastructure.

They will focus on the huge challenges that Auckland faces when it comes to infrastructure caused by rising population growth and parts of the old pipes network that needs to be replaced.

Councillor Desley Simpson will give her thoughts and Margot Nicholson from Hapua Thrive will give a local perspective.
