National / ACT
Confidence & Supply Agreement
November 16th 2008
"I see National and ACT's Confidence and Supply Agreement as a victory for democracy.
A week ago New Zealand voted for a Centre-Right government and today, with this historic agreement, we have one.
This isn't an agreement cobbled together out of self-interest, but one developed through our shared vision to create a better and brighter future for New Zealand." - Rodney Hide

This election I am asking you to ensure the next National Government makes a difference.
It doesn't matter where you live. You can be the difference. From North Cape to Bluff. You can party vote ACT. That's a vote for a government of change. And that's what the country so desperately needs.
A vote for National is just a vote for change of government. A party vote for ACT is a vote for a change of government AND a government of change. That's what we need.

Tens of thousands of families have sons and daughters, loved ones who have left our shores for greener pastures and don't plan to come home. They are raising their own families elsewhere.
Our goal is to 'Bring our Children Home' - to build a future for them here.
We have a comprehensive plan but to put this in place we need - not just a change of government.
We need a government of Change. A party vote for ACT is the only vote that will deliver that change.

What we have today is a group of Labour politicians who have closed their minds to the need to change their ways – why? Because they believe that decisive action would bring political calamity upon them.
The result is that New Zealand, as a country, is drifting closer and closer to the brink of disaster. This process will be accelerated by the election bribes at this election which are aimed at distracting voters' attention away from the real problems the country faces.
