John Boscawen is the ACT Party’s deputy leader and its parliamentary leader. He is a member of the Electoral Legislation, Standing Orders and Auckland Governance Legislation committees. Prior to entering Parliament, John worked as an accountant for some years before becoming self-employed in finance and property investment.
John has a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Auckland.
After joining ACT in 1995, John went on to become ACT candidate for Epsom, a board member and ACT Party Treasurer. He entered Parliament as an List MP in November 2008.
John is involved in the community as a Trustee of the Auckland Philharmonia Foundation and the Otahuhu College Foundation. He is also a member of the Rotary Club of Downtown Auckland and has long been a supporter of helping blind and vision-impaired people in developing countries.
